Our client is looking for an expert C#/Python software developer/engineer to work directly with the CTO to deliver a first class research/technology platform. Very rare combination of world class team, Greenfield, well backed, great salaries and interesting technology.

Our client is well back proprietary trading firm who are in the initial stage of building out a single infrastructure and coding environment for all research and development as well as production trading.

The firm trades on a range of the world’s futures markets and adopts an entirely systematic approach. Technology is thus at the core of everything that they do and they are looking for a highly capable programmer who graduated (2:1 or above) within the last 3 years with a numerical degree such as Computer Science, Engineering or Physics. Experience in the financial sector is not a requirement but a genuine interest in financial markets is crucial. Flexibility, a desire to get stuck in and an enthusiasm for technology that has seen you quickly progress to a leading developer in your current field is key.

This is a critical hire, where the successful applicant will work directly with the CTO to design and develop the platform. It is a great opportunity to join a high potential, well backed hedge fund at its infancy.

You will be involved in the development and support of our proprietary trading platform including market data feeds, trade execution, order management and risk reporting. The platform runs atop Windows and Linux and is built from C#, C++, Python and MS SQL Server as well as a wide range of leading-edge open-source technologies.

More specifically you will have
- Experience working with C++, C# and Python.
- Experience working with box Windows and Linux.
- A good working knowledge of SQL and preferably in database design.
